These terms govern your use of Fold. Using the service means you agree to them.

## What Fold is for

Fold is a search and reference tool for churches. It's meant for sermons, elder minutes, governance documents, staff notes, and similar institutional records.

## What Fold is not for

Fold is not a place for pastoral care records, counseling notes, or church discipline documentation. This is a firm boundary, not a missing feature.

You agree not to upload or store that type of material in Fold. If you do, we may remove it. In serious or repeated cases, we may terminate your account.

Those records belong in the pastoral relationship. A searchable database is the wrong home for them. We built the product with that in mind.

## Your account

You're responsible for the content in your workspace. That means you have the right to upload it, and that you only share access with people who should have it. Keep your credentials secure. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us.

## Acceptable use

Use Fold for lawful purposes only. Don't store illegal content, infringe anyone's copyright, or share access outside your organization without authorization.

## Service availability

We work to keep Fold running. For Solo plan subscribers, we don't promise a specific uptime level. If the service goes down, we'll restore it as fast as we can. We're not liable for losses from downtime.

## Billing

Billing for the Solo plan goes through Stripe on a monthly cycle. You can cancel at any time. Your access continues through the end of the period you paid for. We don't refund partial months.

## Termination

You can close your account by contacting us. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. If we close yours for cause, we'll tell you why unless there's a legal reason we can't.

## Limitation of liability

Fold is provided as-is. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages from your use of the service. Our total liability to you won't exceed what you've paid us in the prior twelve months.

## Changes

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll email you before they take effect.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [US state to be filled].
